Poles of regular quaternionic functions
This paper studies the singularities of Cullen-regular functions of one quaternionic variable, as defined in [7]. The quaternionic Laurent series prove to be Cullen-regular. The singularities of Cullenregular functions are thus classified as removable, essential or poles. The quaternionic analogues of meromorphic complex functions, called semiregular functions, turn out to be quotients of Culle...
متن کاملThe open mapping theorem for regular quaternionic functions
The basic results of a new theory of regular functions of a quaternionic variable have been recently stated, following an idea of Cullen. In this paper we prove the minimum modulus principle and the open mapping theorem for regular functions. The proofs involve some peculiar geometric properties of such functions which are of independent interest.
متن کاملQuaternionic K Ahler Metrics and Nilpotent Orbits
Given a geometric structure on a manifold it is natural to ask what are the symmetries of that structure and what are the examples of such structures with a big group of symmetries. In this talk I wish to start by discussing such questions for quaternionic KK ahler manifolds. Let M be a quaternionic KK ahler manifold, that is a manifold whose holonomy is contained in Sp(n) Sp(1), the subgroup o...
متن کاملHartogs Phenomenon for Systems of Differential Equations
A property of extension is studied for solutions of linear elliptic systems of differential equations. We show that the dimension of the characteristic variety of the system plays a key role in the problem.
متن کاملJet subdivision schemes on the k-regular complex
We introduce a new family of subdivision schemes called jet subdivision schemes. Jet subdivision schemes are a natural generalization of the commonly used subdivision schemes for free-form surface modeling. In an order r jet subdivision scheme, rth order Taylor expansions, or r-jets, of functions are the essential objects being generated in a coarse-to-fine fashion. Standard subdivision surface...
